When flipping through a magazine, I came upon a picture of Sean Connery on a pier with a sweater, Dockers®, and a hat. My first thought was, “There’s a man who is still very attractive”! I thought about all of the ladies I know who are in their 40’s, 50’s, and so on who really appreciate seeing a man who has taken pride in his appearance and, let’s face it, is just “hot”! I realize that actors have time and money invested in maintaining their attractive appearance, however there are a number of local men who also have that same sex appeal with a different mailing address than Hollywood.
I considered what to call these exceptional men and felt that so many words associated with the latter years are negative – “silver”, “old”, “grey”, “golden”−and all a turnoff for me. But then I thought “Platinum.” Their value is far beyond gold and silver – they’re Platinum Men.
In essence, Platinumen™ is synonymous with style, class and charm. We want to show the world that attractive males over the age of 55 do exist −and should be appreciated−one dapper gentleman at a time.
